Humans like intensity. They are drawn to it like moths to a flame. A strict regimen is difficult, but brings great satisfaction. The opposite of intensity, which humans are naturally repulsed by is a sort of apathy and sense of failure, often brought about by trivialization throught repitition and blurriness, as opposed to stark truth, clarity, and dedication; in short a failure to fulfill one's innermost convictions and hopes. It can be summed up very nicely in the following quote:
"Work as intensely as you play and play as intensely as you work." -Eric S. Raymond, How To Be A Hacker
Personal philosophy:
Be a good person. Never force yourself to do something you truly don't want to do: either don't do it or convince yourself you want to do it. Respect others. Delay gratification.
